At the time, it was used as a poultice to soothe rashes and was ingested to treat fevers. Chamomile tea reduces the symptoms of minor gastrointestinal (stomach and gut) complaints such as bloating and minor spasms. The herbal tea made from chamomile flower serves many medicinal and nutraceutical purposes.
